GAME 1
SCT FACULTY TEAM won their fourth straight game since the elimination and captured the first slot in the BRACKET A Championship by beating the luckless SCT BATCH 88.. Score: 81-72
Robert “The Slasher” Perpetua again showed speedy moves and crafty drives to the basket as he nailed down 24 points to capture yet another best player of the game citation. The SCT Faculty Team now awaits the winner between SCT BATCH 87 and SCT BATCH 89, who will slug-it out next Saturday, for the right to bag the bracket A Championship and move over to the next level, the Cross-Over Semi-Finals.
SCT BATCH 88, was led in scoring by DABOY DELA ROSA with 30 points, followed by Reinerr “The Engineer” Santos with 20.
Congratulations SCT FACULTY TEAM and see you next season, SCT BATCH 88!
GAME 2
RAMIL “the Insider” HUANG hauled down several big offensive rebounds and finished with 28 points to lift SCT BATCH 92 past the somehow improved SCT BATCH 94. Score: 87-78
Ably supported by Enrico Pangan with 19 points and Rafael de Guzman with 15, Huang proved to be a true blue rebound monster that SCT Batch 94 can’t match. With the win, SCT BATCH 92 shall be facing the equally talented and poised SCT BATCH 90 for the Bracket B Winner-Take-All Championship.
SCT BACTH 94 was led by Gian Llorente with 30 big points, as 24 of those points were unleashed in the rainbow territory or a total of 8 three-point bombs, but still, fell short for yet another loss. Llorente was ably supported by Apollo “The Hotshot” Aramil with 23 points and Bien Andre Llagas with 16 markers.
The loss has relegated SCT Batch 94 to the sideline and will wait for the next conference to happen. See you next season SCT Batch 94!
GAME 3
SCT STUDENT ASSISTANTS TEAM captured their fourth straight victory since the elimination by trouncing the slumping team of SCT BATCH 2003, even in the absence of their rebounding demon Ely Boy Quiaout. Score: 61-53
With the win, THE SCT STUDENT ASSISTANTS TEAM bagged the right to meet SCT BATCH 2000 for another do-or-die semi-finals match (via ladder system) next week and the winner shall face the already seeded SCT BATCH 2004 for the Bracket D Championship.
JUNRIL “The Thunder Boy” OPSIMA led the SCT Student Assistants with 30 mega buck points and secured his slot as one of the best forwards in the current league.
Alvin “The Assassin” Edwards, Sergio and Tapales led their team in scoring with a combined 37 points but were not enough to capture a win. It was Batch 2003’s 6th straight set-back since the elimination and with the loss, we bid goodbye for now to them as they were automatically eliminated in the race.
For SCT SA, Be prepared for yet another tough match next week against SCT BATCH 2000.
